Gianluca Esposito is Professor and Director of the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento, Italy, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Genetic Psychology.  His research integrates developmental psychology, neuroscience, physiology, and artificial intelligence to investigate social interaction, socio-cognitive development, and caregiver–child relationships across typical and atypical populations. Using multimodal approaches—including neuroimaging (fNIRS, EEG, fMRI), psychophysiology, behavioral methods, and big data analytics—his work aims to better understand human behavior and develop innovative applications for education, health, and society.

Andrea Bizzego is a researcher in the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento. His research interests lie at the intersection of data science and psychological computing, focusing on the application, rigorous validation, and reproducibility of advanced statistical and computational models for complex behavioral and physiological data. Alessandro Carollo is a Research Collaborator at the University of Trento and a postdoctoral researcher at Bar-Ilan University. His research focuses on the intra- and inter-personal neurophysiological mechanisms underlying social interactions across human development.

Riccardo Cavallaro is a PhD student in Cognitive Science at the University of Trento. His research focuses on the neurophysiological and psychological effects of gaming, with a particular focus on their impact on the brain, mental health, and behavioral addictions. He specifically investigates neural synchrony and performance in gaming settings. His research also investigates how video games influence psychological well-being, examining both their potential benefits and their possible adverse effects.

Alessia Sara Zeni is a PhD student in Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento and a licensed developmental psychologist. Her research focuses on behavioral and neural synchrony in parent–child interactions, examining how they are shaped by contextual factors (e.g., physical vs. digital environments) and by individual characteristics of both parents and children.
